Fees

Attendance is charged at an hourly rate and is booked as whole sessions. For example: 9am-12pm or 9am -1pm (or an afternoon session).

Fees vary according to the age of the child. The 3 preschool age groups are: 18months to 2 years old, 2 – 3 years old and 3-4 years old.

Fees also vary according to whether booked hours fall in core hours (9am – 3.30pm) or in non core hours (7.30-9am and 3.30-6pm).

Funded hours will be used in core hours first before they can be used in non-core hours. Hours not covered by funding (Direct fees) will be charged according to the age of the child and the hours booked (core or non-core).

All attendance fees are invoiced monthly in arrears and continue to be payable if the child is absent, sick or on holiday.  Sessions are booked half termly.  We offer electronic payment methods and a flexible payment system for families of differing means.

We currently offer two settling in sessions for children due to start at the preschool. To find out more please contact us.

As a registered Early Years Education Funding (EYEF) Provider, the pre-school is able to offer, eligible three and four year olds, EYEF entitlement in accordance with Devon County Council guidelines and conditions. A child becomes eligible for the universal funding entitlement (15hrs), the term after they turn 3 years old.

We are also a registered provider of the extended entitlement of 30 hrs free childcare for eligible working parents of 3 and 4 year olds.  If your child is eligible next term you can register now to be contacted by the HMRC when it becomes available to you: at https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/. If you are eligible you will be given an 11 digit code which we will need to process your application.  You need to re-apply for this funding every 3 months. If you do not access the extra hours (more than 15hrs/week for a given term, you will not qualify for over 15hrs funding the following term, unless you re-validate your code)

The universal entitlement for a 3-4 year old child is a maximum of 15 funded hours per week for 38 weeks per year. Or stretch funding over the academic year.

Parents of children up to 11 years old can apply for tax free childcare at https://childcare-support.tax.service.gov.uk/par/app/applynow  .

A child becomes eligible as follows:

On or AfterAnd On or BeforeTerm
1st January31st MarchSummer
1st April31st AugustAutumn
1st September31st DecemberSpring

We are also registered for 2 year old funding:15hrs working entitlements and some 2 year old children and their families are eligible for 15hrs.  For more information or to see if you qualify please visit https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/free-childcare-2-year-olds

At the beginning of each term, during headcount week, parents must declare the number of session hours they require for their child per week for that term. In order to qualify for EYEF, the child must attend during headcount week. If this is not possible, the parents must arrange in advance for the child’s authorised absence.

If children fail to attend on a regular basis, funding must be repaid to Devon County Council. These charges will then be passed on to the parents.

Additional sessions can be booked, subject to availability.
